I need to vent, k?
My DH is taking a job out of state. He’s been working 10-12 hour days as long as I can remember. He’s been under alot of stress, never has time to go anywhere with us and when he actually does have a little time, he’s so tired and stressed and grouchy that he either doesn’t want to go or he’s just not alot of fun to be around.
We HAVE to leave this job for reasons beyond our control. We thought we had two options, but one of the two has not made an actual offer and that place is where we were before we moved up here. When we left there, he was working long days, stressed, basically like he has been here for the last year and a half. Now, offer number two is a whole different world…work wise and geographically. There are less than half the cattle he’s been taking care of, there’s not much hay to cut, there’s alot of wildlife, which is one thing the owner wants him to concentrate on. There’s virtually no stress, it’s a low pressure job, he’ll be working normal schedules, we can go places on the weekends, he can hang out with his family in the evenings and be home for dinner. It just sounds like it will be a much better place for him and, since it all rolls downhill, for us, too. Where there are 8 kindergarten classes here, there will probably be 8 kids in the whole Kindergarten class where we’re moving. I am pretty sure I already have a job in the school there. It sounds like a win-win situation, right? Well, his family is just pouring on the negativity. “It’s the worst decision he’s ever made.” “Well, when it doesn’t work out, maybe you’ll move back here.” “It’s not so much about the job, but I just hate to see you do that to the kids.” Geez! Look at the facts…my DH will probably live ten years longer (at least) by getting away from the stress. We’ll be happier overall because stress is contagious. The kids will go to a small, but VERY nice school. I will be working there with them. How is this a bad decision? Can’t they see that the kids are a big part of the reason we made the decision? Why do people have to be so selfish? I know they’ll miss my kids and I’m glad that my kids have people that love them so much that they will miss them like that. But, why can’t the family be supportive? Is that so much to ask?
Okay, vent over…two kids in the shower, guess I’d better go get them out, huh? Thanks for listening!

Yep, it’s true. We spent the weekend traveling and are home now, but we’ll be moving in two weeks…wow. It’s different there, for sure. Not nearly as green, nor as hilly…but still nice in it’s own kind of way. The place is awesome, nice house, great facilities, great people. Even think I have a job at the school…but finishing up my degree here, that’s the big obstacle. I’m hoping it will all work out.
Just wanted to update, it’s naptime for the kiddos and I have laundry to do and packing to plan…have a great day!

We’ll be gone all weekend. My apologies if you applied for my CT, I’ll get some word out early next week. This trip came up rather unexpectedly, but we have to go. It should be very exciting and I’ll tell you all about it when I get back.
Have a great weekend!

and you’re seeing it in action right here! I won’t say that my most recent is always my fave, but I will say that happens alot, but I have to say I absolutely LOVE this kit! I’m waiting a day or two to let my girls do some work with it so I can show it off with their fantastic scrapping skills, but you can see the colors here. This is just a quick post, I did a layout a couple of days ago with Traci’s Graphically Grunged kit (again) and forgot to post it so here it is:
I love everything about my new blog skin except that the words are wrapping around my images instead of starting a new paragraph, even with hand coded paragraph tags…don’t know what it is but I hope the skin designer can help me figure it out. Anyway, the link to this kit is just a couple of posts down, it’s late and I’m too lazy to look it up again.
Sleep well, I will! More tomorrow!
