Since we are changing DSD to a consignment store, I will be closing my shop and moving some of my stuff over there (the rest I will retire) so I am having a 50% off of everything in my store sale through July 31st. Some of the older stuff will probably not be put up at DSD, so if there’s any of that you want, grab it now.
I’ll leave you with a layout, this one is mostly with the Built Tough Kit by Amber Clegg, paper clip, stitches and staple from Jan Crowley’s Little Black Dress kit and the Messy Stamp Alpha Brushes by Christine Smith were used for the title:

Is that not just the sweetest thing ever? Yeah, I think so, too…
I’m tired (yawn) so that’s it for now…go shop! Please! Oh, and everything in the Store at DSD is also 50% off…wow, what a deal!

Well, it appears that the Swimmer’s Ear is back, so we’re headed to the doctor today before it gets worse. Bless her heart, I went to cup her face in my hands and kiss on her and she just got big tears in her eyes and said I hurt her ear. So, as soon as the doc’s office opens, I’ll be making her an appointment.
In other news, Kim is putting an ad up at Just Digital Calls with the details about our designer package for the new Digiscrapdivas store…it has to be approved, so it will be just a bit before it’s up. We are going full consignment and have a pretty sweet deal if you ask me so if you’re a designer and looking for a home, go check out the info and e-mail me or Kim. We’re still planning our grand re-opening, but we’d like to get our designer roster together soon so we can make plans together.
Time to get moving, but I’ll leave you with a layout I did this morning, using Ashley Olson’s new Baby Boy Big Kit, available at Scrapbook-Bytes…

Enjoy your day!

Where were you last night? The chat was…well, quiet. Did you not like my movie choice? I liked it, thought it was really cute. Had a great list of questions for you, too…but you didn’t come
. Okay, enough pouting, let’s move on.
Today is Casey & Bailey’s first dentist appointment. She has two permanent teeth now and since I’m taking her, I thought I’d take him, too. Granny is in town now so she’s going with us…not sure if that’s good or bad, we’ll see.
Working on a palette for my AF release for Fall, but am really not getting inspired. I hope something comes to me tonight. I’ve been meditating over my Pantone swatch book, but it just isn’t speaking to me. Anyway, stay tuned on that.
Wow, I finally remembered to get my free bonus track from buying Teddy’s CD and it’s awesome. But, then, he is awesome. I mean, he’s young and he does have a way to go to catch up with John Mayer on his songwriting, but he is extremely talented and I do believe he will go far.
This has been a very rambling post, but I guess that’s just me today, short attention span…and I have lots to do, so I’m off. Have a great day!

I changed my title again. Well, the first time I changed it because I decided it wasn’t such a great idea to have such an identifiable thing in the title for the world to see. Then, the next title wasn’t really a title, more of a statement I put on my banner (assume the best). Okay, then…I wrote that really great post that I am still proud of (I AM an Artist). Well, then I thought maybe that sounds a little, ummm, well, conceited? I dunno, just like some kind of a declaration of talent or something. So, when I changed themes, I didn’t really have a title at all, but again, just put some cutesy words on the banner. Well, I’ve changed themes again (are you sensing a pattern here?) and since it showed the actual title of my blog, I wanted to put something in there. So, now it’s Everyday Inspiration. This is it. That is my final answer. And, since I saw Carrie Stephen’s blog and I swear, she has changed her title, too, I feel better
. Oh, and hey! You guys got me to number 5! Yes, 5! Wow, how cool is that? Well, I’m glad you enjoyed the doodles. I’m going to try to get a kit or two finished up this week, but we’re also working on our plan of action for the changes at DSD, so no promises. I think I’m finally caught up on all the bonus packs I promised, but I do have a chat tomorrow night, I might try to come up with something for that. It’s the first official Chick Flick Chat at The Digi Chick. 11 EST in the chat room over there…even if you know me from DSD and don’t necessarily hang out at TDC, come on over, there’s plenty of room! Need the details? Okay, here you go:

Okay, since I’m in class, I should shut up now. I have to make myself a cool new blog banner, but, alas, it will have to wait.
Thanks for all the blog love!

I truly do appreciate it when you leave me a little note to let me know you liked a freebie! I did a couple of layouts yesterday, you should see them over in my flickr bar. I have to work for DH today for a few hours, have homework to do and school tonight, so it’ll be a busy day, but just wanted to put a quick note here. If you attended my BYOS crop at the Guardian Peas event, you should have received your bonus pack if you sent me a link to your layout…if you didn’t, you can contact me and I’ll get it to you. Otherwise, I have about three kits I’m working on, maybe I’ll get them finished this week and up this weekend. One is volume 2 of the Washed, Worn & Faded series, from which I’ve already shown you guys the papers. I just have a few more little pieces to do and it’s ready. I also have the one I used for that cute layout of Bailey I did last week and then there are a couple more as well. So, we’ll see.
Meanwhile, have a great day and try to stay cool!

As posted at DSD this morning:
Well, in light of the fact that you guys have shown us so much love, we’ve decided to stick it out. We will be doing some restructuring and some major changes and will still be having a sale soon. After the sale, the shop will close for a bit and will reopen with a totally new format. We’re also going to be changing some other things and adding some staff members, so if anyone is truly interested in helping us make this place live up to its potential, feel free to contact us…we’d love to hear from you!Sincere thanks to everyone who told us you wanted us to stay. We hate to back up now and change our minds, but we do believe in this place and it sounds like you guys do, too. It’s been alot of work to get us this far and I guess we just decided we’ve put too much into it to see it just disappear. So, hang tight, stick around, help us grow! We’ve always been about you, our members, and will continue to be. All suggestions and comments are welcome. We love to hear from you and we always listen when you tell us what you think we can do to make DSD better.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
–end of post–
James is right, I’ve put a ton of work into DSD and so have some other people. We love it too much to give it up. I thought that being small was a bad thing and maybe for our designers it is. But our members say they love the fact that it is more small and “intimate” than many of the bigger sites. Our designers love the friendly and homey feel. So, we’ve decided to stay put. We will be making some changes, but the bottom line is that we will remain to be the first TRULY OPEN community and we will always be friendly and sincerely welcoming to newbies. On that note, if you are interested in helping us achieve that goal and/or being involved at DSD on a deeper level, contact me…we’d love to hear from you!

Well, first, we finally got Petey! Who is Petey, you ask? Petey is our new ride! YAY! We traded in a Suburban for a Mazda MPV minivan a couple of years ago and the minivan has definitely served us well, but we really wanted something bigger. So, we had an opportunity to trade for an Expedition that is in fabulous shape, one year older than the van, but with less miles. It took a week to get paperwork done (gee, thanks, citifinancial
), but I finally got to pick him up last night! The kiddos are already missing the DVD player (okay, so am I, LOL), but overall, Petey is awesome!
Hope you found my little freebie. I put it up late last night, so I don’t know if it counts hits per 24 hours or what, but today’s ten downloads are gone. Do try again tomorrow, it’s a fun little kit.
Gotta keep this short, the kiddos need a bath this morning, Bailey has her last day of dance camp and then her recital tonight. Granny and Grandma will be here this evening to go with us and I think Granny will be staying the night, so I need to change some sheets and do some cleaning…busy day for me! We’re still plotting our long term plans for DSD, but so far, we are trying to go ahead and keep the forums open as well as the shop/gallery. Stay tuned and do come see us! We are also a totally open community with lots of great members and a really nice looking site, if I do say so myself
. Bring your blinkies and come on over!
