I was having issues last night when I posted that on my blog.  I thought I had added a link to the chat room, but I guess it didn’t go through.  So, the good news is…show up at my chat tonight at 11 PM ET and get the stitches plus some other goodies.  It will be a different challenge, so you’ll have something fun to do…or you can just chat with us and celebrate New Year’s Eve!

DSD is down…aarrgh!  Not only is the site down, but the e-mail I use for a big portion of my stuff is down as well.  The host says his data center has a network down and that is what the problem is…okay, great, but when will it be fixed?!?!?  I have a crop scheduled for tomorrow AM and I don’t know what I’ll do if the site is down…but then, the good news is that the chat room is actually hosted at addictedtodigital.com so if the site is down in the morning, just link to the chat room from Brenda’s site and I’ll still see you there.  Bad news is…I can’t upload anything to my server to give out as a freebie.  I think we’ll do an inspiration challenge and I have something in mind to use, so come on over…we’re handing out prizes, too!  Hope to see you there, one way or another!

Well, a couple of deals.  I have recently become obsessed with paper scrapping, not for layouts, but for altering.  I simply can’t afford to go out and build up a stash of goodies, so…here are two separate offers, good ’til the DVDs are gone or I think I’ve got enough stuff .

I have two Hard Hat Harry DVDs, never been opened…  Trucks & Fire Trucks and Trains & Helicopters.  I’ll trade a DVD for a goodie box and pay the shipping, too!

And, for those of you who would rather have some digi-stuff, I can do that, too.  Box me up your leftovers, open packages, whatever.  I don’t really need paper or stickers, but ribbons, fasteners, bookplates, rubons, stamps, ink, all that good stuff…hook me up!  And I’ll hook you up in return!

I got cash.  I really didn’t expect it because we are really on a tight budget and I told DH we wouldn’t buy for each other this year.  But, lo and behold, he had two envelopes on the tree for me, each with a hundred bucks in it.  Now, I just have to decide what I want badly enough to let go of that money…  I want a car charger for my laptop, but I’ll be getting an additional laptop when I start school in February (it comes with the program I’m entering) so I may be selling my laptop I use now.  I think I want an iPod, but it may just be because everyone else has one so I think they’re cool.  I listen to my Yahoo! LaunchCast Plus radio all the time, so I honestly don’t even think I’d use it that much.  Thought about upgrading to PSCS2, but as a student I can buy the whole creative suite for around $350 so I decided it makes more sense to wait and upgrade after they’ve done another version or two and just buy the whole suite again.  I am seriously considering going to Hobby Lobby and buying a few paper scrapping supplies, not because I want to do layouts, but I really do want to learn to do altered stuff and I have basically nothing.  Ooh, decisions, decisions, decisions…

Went to the 2Peas chat last night and met some wonderful ladies.  wyowoman (Kristin), beckbeck, mountainErin, Anita and Jas (I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone!)…really nice chatting with you.  It’s always nice to be able to add to the list of people that I call cyberfriends.  I have a lot of those, really, because before I started digiscrapping, I was a member of an infertility/parenting community for years and made some really great friends there.  Even met a few of them in person and that’s even more fun.  Something about going through something as monumental as infertility tends to create an instant bond, no matter what walk of life you come from.  I met one wonderful person who I know would do anything in the world for me or my family and I feel the same way about hers…but if I’d met her under any other circumstances, we probably wouldn’t have become friends because we’re from such different walks of life.  She’s a wonderful person and I adore her, but we just wouldn’t run in the same circles as far as our everyday life goes.  Anyway, I got OT a bit, but I have to say that I really enjoy meeting people and getting to know them better.  I met Heidi at a 2Peas chat several months ago and she’s someone I’d consider not just a cyberfriend or a fellow digiscrapper, but a friend.  Isn’t it wonderful how the internet has made the world so small?  Talking to Jas last night, in Singapore and Anita, in Australia and then the others here in the states…how cool is that, really?  It’s amazing how technology has brought us all closer together.

So, my MIL will be here today…for a week.  I love her, I really do, but she does tend to be a worry wart and fusses waaaay too much over my kids.  But, then I guess most grandparents to do that, don’t they?  Anyway, we’ll have fun, I’m sure.  Her two sisters will be coming to visit and they’re awesome, too…it will be a busy week, that’s for sure.

I’m going to close with a little hidden freebie…but let me say that only the first 5 people to click on the link will get to download it.  The link will expire after that.  AND, if you use firefox and click after it expires, it will tell you repeatedly that the link is expired.  I love this cool script I found to handle these for me, but apparently, firefox things you have to be convinced that the link is expired, so it just keeps saying it over and over and over…  Told they guy who is selling the script and he says he doesn’t have the problem, but one of the gals at the chat last night tried it and she did.  I’d love to know if you have the problem if you happen to be one of the late-comers and miss out on the freebie .

Going to get more coffee in my cute, WalMart holiday cup and browse the message boards a bit more before I start my day.  I actually have to get out of my PJs before noon today because Granny will be flying in this morning.  So, have a great day!  Today’s surprise freebie is the Funky Flakes, too! sunny clear weather.  My connection was absolutely horrible yesterday and I think it may have had to do with the weather.  But, today, all is good again…so good, in fact, that I just uploaded another kit.  Here’s a peek:

It’s called Broken Hearted Smile…don’t ask, LOL.  Hey, sometimes I think the hardest part of designing is coming up with a good name.  Anyway, lots more brushed and dreamy looking papers plus some awesome elements.  Here’s my first layout with it:

I cleaned up my office last week and found a Nestle’ Very Best Kids free magazine and these colors came from the cover.  It is a step away from my usual style, similar to Snow Daze, which was a pretty popular kit, so I’m hoping you guys like it as much as I do.  Now, if only my internet connection would cooperate, I could get it in the shop in time for the big sale!  At worst, I’ll get it up this afternoon.  I’m thinking it’s going to be $5.50, but it can be used as part of a Holiday Combo Pack as well.  I’ll update when it’s ready for you!
