I’ve been wanting to do an AAM layout for a long time, but just couldn’t get inspired. I picked up the September copy of Scrapbook Trends last week and they had a whole AAM section! I finally found some inspiration on page 73 and here’s what I came up with:

This is really me. No makeup most of the time, t-shirt and PJ pants are standard attire, just plain old me
. Bailey took the photo and I think she did a great job. I did all the inking with brushes from Misprinted Type and the handwriting font is Susie’s Hand by Ali Edwards. I think it came on one of the Scrapbook Answers Resource CDs, but I’m not sure.
So, there you go…this is me, love me or leave me, for better or worse
. Nice to meet you.
Now, I am pleased to announce that I think I found my mojo. Well, this layout was so easy to do that I don’t know if it really counts, but I still think it came out great.

This layout was done for my Scraplift Challenge over at DSD. The reason it came together so quickly (like 15 minutes) is because I provided the color blocking template for the challenge and when I decided to use this for the challenge, I knew that this kit and this photo would be the perfect combination for this layout. The font is Rockford by Typadelic Fonts, also from a Scrapbook Answers resource CD. The kit is Hip Holidays by Kim Hill.
Since I found my mojo, I hope to put together a couple more layouts today including one with the Digiscrapdivas December Megakit…this is going to be one incredible kit. Here’s a list of what it contains:
44 papers
2 alphabets with both upper and lower cases
1 overlay
8 chipboard coasters
4 chipboard gifts
4 snowflake brushes (PNG and ABR formats)
4 fiber strands
4 zig-zag stitchings
3 rows of rik rak
6 ribbons
3 grossgrain bows
2 wood snowflakes
silver fasteners – brad, eyelet, staple, photo prong
4 chipboard word art accents
4 chipboard tags
4 epoxy brads
3 glass brads
3 glass tags
3 embellished paperclips
3 round chipboard frames
3 square chipboard frames
1 mitten sticker
1 snowman sticker
1 snowman charm
1 charm rod
3 sets of photo corners (silver, gold, white)
4 metal-rimmed tags
1 12×12 quick page
4 photo greeting cards
2 desktop wallpapers
Okay, is that a whopper of a list or what? Kim has a preview of it on her blog and I’ll try to do a layout with it later today. Oh, and I’ve promised some new blinkies to the members and team over at DSD so I’ll work on them later, too.
But, now, my domestic duties are calling. The laundry is piled pretty deep and my kiddos need to get dressed and brush their teeth…
